What I'm Doing Now

Updated on Jan 7, 2026.

Here's a snapshot of what I'm currently up to. This page is inspired by the /now page movement.

Reading

I am once again reading many things at one time. My parents got me a book for Christmas, which I made significant progress on over the break. It's gas so far. I am continuing "Paradise Lost". It seems to be quite highly acclaimed, so I'm excited to explore it. For what I have read so far, it seems sort of similar to "The Odyssey", but inspired by The Bible. I am also reading Macbeth for the first time with some friends.

Listening

I listened to Julia Holter's "Have You In My Wilderness" recently. Really quite good! She has a lovely voice and the production is rather impressive. "Bleeds" has still been on repeat. I adore the guitar work on that album.

General Learning

I'm in my final year of college, studying computer science. The current topics of study are operating systems and embedded systems. Fascinating stuff. Regarding languages, I am keeping up with my Korean. On the creative front, I'm writing more frequently and now hoping to do some video work. I have been doing some re-reading of cyberpunk fiction (Neuromancer, Snow Crash, etc) to help me ascertain the functionality of ICE, which is related to a programming project I am working on (still working on it). I am studying for my General Class HAM license as well. It's a new quarter!

Thinking About

Recently, I have been mulling over ways to retructure my day in order to make time for my passions. I haven't been overly successful with partaking in my hobbies this season. I found a concept called "habit stacking", which I am going to try to use to become more consistent with my hobbies and general discipline. Over the break I was pretty successful in waking up early, which I am happy with. I intend to also try to swim at least once a week and use the suana afterwards (good for your heart).

Cyber

I've come upon some dev boards that I am will be using as methods to deploy implants. The current lineup is two Pi Picos, three ESP32s, and a Pi 4. The ESP32 boards will be used for my wifi-enabled implants and further wireless testing. The Picos will serve as wired implants and malware delivery devices. Not exactly sure what I want to use the Pi 4 for yet, but it will likely be either a connection to my C2 or a more portable testing rig.

Site Updates

As you may have noticed, there is a new videos page on the site. I intend to use it as a diary of sorts. There was a project I saw on another site they called "A Second A Day", where the author took a second or two of video footage every day, compiled them, and posted them. I think this is quite neat and for me it'll be a good way to practice video editing and shot composition. I'll try to do one for each month of 2026, and see how consistent I can be with it.
